Trust, Self Confidence, Resilience - Residential Treatment Facility
The young men and women in our RTF program have benefitted greatly from the unique opportunity to participate in an equine therapy experience. Over the course of five weeks, 6 boys and 6 girls engaged in therapeutic activities with rescued horses and learned about trust, self-confidence and resiliency, all facilitated by Master's level clinicians. This was an experience that none of the adolescents have had previously and may never have again.

In their words:
It helped me calm down because the horses are gentle creatures and it made me realize that life does not always need to be rushed. – Jennifer B.
Riding the horse made me stop and think about the positives about myself. Also, Lisa was another person to be able to talk to about my problems. - Jamone D.
